A fickle 4 year old…

Yeah, thos fish slapping bears are yesterdays news for Alice.

I want a pangolin, too! I have SIX big anthills near our house - we tried walking in forest and couldn’t find an antless spot for it! I was ready to bet that even the paths are made just by ants.

I wonder what Alice reads that led to her new interest, pangolins (scaly anteaters)? I used to like to read the encyclopedia as a wee lad; gave me all sorts of ideas….

I’ve never heard of pangolins until now. After seeing what it looks like, I’d stick with the fish-slapping bear.

I now have a new word I will work into a conversation today.

I love Pangolins! They walk on two legs like little old men.

Just last week I saw a pangolin covered in lanolin playing the violin for Stuart Margolin.

Sysyphos, I only had a “Children’s Enc.” in our house (back in the 40s) but I had a really good big dictionary and used to reference words back and forth as I studied etymology in 3rd and 4th grade. I have continued my study of the origins of language. As a re-creator of the Middle Ages, I really have enhanced the study. The only non human creatures that really interest me are birds
