Alice: My mom's van is "in the shop." Beni: She's selling her van? Alice: Huh? Beni: If it's in the shop, it must be for sale. Alice: But I've got a stash of old candy and fast good hidden under the backseat! Beni: Oh, that'll sell fast.
Madeline probably discovered the stash, Alice, with the help of the guys in the shop. But Beni seems to misunderstand what “in the shop” means and so misleads you. Fear not; the van will be back—sans stash, methinks.
