Transcript:
Dill: How many little rocks have you drawn smiley faces on? Alice: It's hard to say. Alice: Maybe ten billion! I hope that soon they'll cover the Earth in a vast army of tiny, cute cheerful rocks! Dill: That'd be great! Dad: I've found a rock in my shoe that's laughing at me. Mom: You must have happy feet!

How about that toy car on the floor? It’s a miniature of Peter Sr’s little car. Love it!

Richard has a remarkable talent for capturing the workings of mind of a child. I wish I had done better holding on to that pov and greatly appreciate the way he leads me back there.

I love Alice and Dill in the second panel. A wonderful outlook— and the look of true, lifelong friendship ahead. :)

Alice is a kindred spirit of Ahmad Nadalian, who draws on rocks and releases them into the wild! I love his work. See: http://www.riverart.net

Reminds me of an episode of WKRP. “I’ve got a monkey on my foot!”
