Pray tell, Ernesto Lacuna, if real you are, what exactly is “a mild form of lycanthropy”? A little hair on your chest?Alice, stop dragging your towel!

Oh, my God. At 58, I’m getting “long in the tooth”, and I’ve got extra hair everywhere, especially my ears!

I applaud your scholarship, but based on geography, me would more likely be described as a Manitou.

I’m just catching up on Cul de Sac, which I discovered shortly before the author had to take his break. I know about the supposed open question of Ernesto’s actual existence. It may be more interesting, though, to assume that he really does exist, and think about Petey’s difficulty in accepting that.

I’d say he’s much too polite to be real.

Ernesto looks disturbingly like a young Roger Ebert.

IMO, Ernesto’s surname argues against his reality. According to thefreedictionary.com, “lacuna” is defined as “An empty space or a missing part; a gap.” But then, Madeline can see him, and Alice can too, as she saw his “two sweaters.” Boy, Richard sure likes to mess with us.

What if Petey only imagined that Mom and Alice said they could see him? How can he ever be sure?-Cougar :{)

Sure did. Reminded me a lot of Roddenberry’s Spectre TV pilot. Seems like it should’ve been made ten years earlier.
