Viola: Thank you for the stuffed gila monster, Petey Potterpoop! You'll notice it's hanging on my backpack! Viola: This doesn't change anything, you know! Petey: Phew.
Petey sighs in relief; but, unfortunately, he doesn’t really understand Girlspeak, mistaking it for English. What Viola meant was (translated into English) that things have changed. Beware, Petey. She may even regard herself as your girlfriend now!
I used to think those backpacks were an exaggeration, but I’ve seen the kids at the bus stop and they are indeed hugeous. Plus the new generation of businessmen in the city, with their jacket, tie, and backpack rather than a briefcase. Go figure.

So Viola is still calling him “Potterpoop” even though she knows it’s “Otterloop”, and she says nothing’s changed. But is she being honest?

He doesn’t understand. She means she still intends to one day marry him and fix him.

Of course, nothing has changed. She might as well punch him in the arm and make it obvious she likes him.

A girl bully is still a bully. Calling him by a nasty play on his name is bully behavior.
