Mom: I visited Grandma today and I found this for you. she has a while box of them. Alice: An old lady radar hat! Mom: It's a veil, Alice, not radar- Alice: How does it work? Do I just put it on my head? Alice: Petey says bats use radar to find food. That's why old ladies wear these to the grocery store. Mom: Petey's not the best source for- Alice: I'll try finding some food. Point me toward the kitchen.

Peter is so naughty to make her believe such a thing. But I guess he’s just getting back at her for something. Alice is not as innocent as she looks.

Can’t help thinking of Calvin parallels when I read this strip. There was a whole story line where Calvin wanted a propeller beanie. He got one and…Well, anyway, I wonder how long Alice will like her old lady hat.
