Petey: But he's not Mr. Spinnerack. Mom: Well- Man: Dan Spinnerack is my uncle. He's taking a sabbatical. Man: I'm Emilio Spinnerack and I'm teaching Cartoon Camp! Go hop up on a stool and we'll start, okay Pete? Andre: He looks like the sinister splat from captain rolemodel number 513-"the splat leaves his mark!" Petey: He looks like he could turn into a clown at any second. Girl: Does everybody call you "pete" now, Pete?
The third panel reminded me of the Judy Blume book “Fudge-a-Mania”, in which Fudge started calling Peter ‘’Pete’’.
