    Shoe stores used to have X-ray machines that would allow you to see how well your shoes fit.

    There used to be the fluoroscope that let you look at your foot-bones! That was neat! Then, it was “carcinogenic.” Now, stand-alone shoe stores are disappearing. Not even funny mirrors can save them, Alice….

    Do Shoe Stores even exist anymore? I don’t live in a big city but we have one shoe store left in this area.
