Peter, you are a walking Dufus Dad Cliche!

So, Santa’s suit needs a cleaning. That’s not on Alice, Peter! You should have cleaned him up before you put him away last year….

When I was a kid, mom got these wonderful candles, one for each reindeer, the sleigh and Santa. Every year she’d get them out from the basement and set them in a row. And she refused to ever light the candles. Then we moved into a house with no basement, and she put them into the attic. With predictable and sad results. The next Christmas, she opened the box to find lumps of melted wax.

Aww, I was hoping for the Leg Lamp… ☺

Holiday decorations are a pain.

I don’t usually “wax” serious here but if that had been our attic, it would be melted into an unrecognizable blob of colored paraffin. We learned that the hard way. And, my sister learned, too late, not to store her snow-globe collection there!

Thank God I don’t have to climb up in the attic anymore to retrieve and put back the Christmas ornaments. Narrow opening above garage. Whew.

Alice’s holiday spirit is very sweet and heartening.

Am I the only person who saw the ornament to be an old apple core of half eaten apple and a moldy one at that.
