That’s what lego is for, that’ll stop the zombies, they just need to step on them

And Alice could add, “And a last desperate defense against the Uh Oh baby!”

Hard to say if Petey’s been pulling her chain, or if he’s really worried.

I’m not very worried about zombies. After the first several days, they will discover that they can’t find any brains to eat, and they will starve.

Petey would go on to write a massive cathartic tome on “Toad Zombies”… (I wonder if he ever finished it) ッ

The gate must have protected Petey from the Zombie Munchkins!

The local firehouse tests their alarm at precisely 7 pm every Thursday. My oldest son would listen for it every week, then tell his younger brother that it was the Zombie Alarm, and that zombies had been spotted in the neighborhood. Eventually the boy caught on. Eventually . . .

I’m really glad the strip has started back at the beginning. I love seeing the progression of the drawing style and how Richard is working out the characters proclivities and the details of the Cul de Sac world. Later on, we see Petey almost exclusively shown on his bed, when in his room, in a tidy environment and reading Little Neuro(sp?) or staring at the spot on the ceiling. Quite different from what we see here.

Does it matter, run for your lives or least get you dad’s guns and ammo. Always aim for the head!

They took down the gate! Petey seems to fear the worst, having imagined that the gate must be anti-zombie. Oddly, he never considered that it might be for Little Sis, who in this earliest phase of the strip can be very endearing….
