It looks like Alice is falling down the rabbit hole again.

When I was a kid I liked playing with the metal foot measuring gadget.

I remember hating to go to the shoe store with my mother when I was a kid. I think my feet were hard to fit.

Sitting still in a chair in a shoe store is too much like being in a school classroom for a little kid.

I remember the x-ray machine to see if the shoe fit.

I have vague memories of X-ray machines used before they figured out it wasn’t safe.

Alice, just wait until you go to the fitting rooms at the clothing store, and get to play in those three giant mirrors. The world will shriek at the sight of all those Alice’s!

Our department store had those mirrors, and the two side mirrors were on hinges so they could be adjusted to see each side of you. I would swing them until they were touching, and I would be inside a triangle of mirrors with an infinite number of me’s. It blew my little mind.

Good fun for Alice when she could be bored! I remember trips to the shoe store and those floor-level mirrors.

But do they still exist today?
