I have a sketch I did years ago of the western edge of the world, where dedicated monks gather each evening to watch the sun disappear. They often speculate about where it goes. They have very little contact these days with the distant eastern monks, but they hear plenty of rumours. I have no idea whether the eastern monks even survive, never having visited them. Maybe one day.
