It’s the Keeping Up With The Jones and status-symbol mentality that prevails this time of year. Lord help us of little Jimmy didn’t get as good as his school-mates… Besides, it’s hard to disappoint your kids at Xmas, and the goodies just get more expensive as they get older. It’s expected. Like… 5-figure weddings.
