No I live in Los Angeles and know someday we will be in the same situation from an earthquake. It is wonderful to see how people pull together and help out when and where they can. I hope that they at least get the power on to all areas soon

Had three h-canes in one year 2004. Went outside and started cleaning when the eye of one was over us. Nice and calm for a while. Lost the roof that year.

we had no electric for one night- not bad. some neighbors are still out. Some nearby damage to homes and boats along the Hudson River. We are not too close to the river so we were lucky. One issue now is gas stations out of gas and long lines at others. We’re one hour N of NYC. Praying for all those who lost loved ones and homes down in NJ and LI.

My kids always helped with the dishes as I did when very young. This house (where I moved in 1998) has my first dishwasher. I cooked all dinners for my parent’s family when I reached 7th grade (until I went to college).
