    What do you want on your pizza?

    Awe, that’s sweet! What’s the occasion?

    A good tomato-based sauce with onion, garlic, oregano, frutti di mare, pepperoni, olives, mozzarella and a dash of tasty olive oil.

    They had to fire the local pizza delivery guy. Last week we ordered an extra large pepperoni pizza and when my wife answered the door he said. Hey lady. Here’s your pizza and …zip…heeere’s the pepperoni

    @Tony:

    Green peppers, mushrooms and onions. If there has to be meat, ground beef. Nothing that came from a pig. And now, consider today’s…

    Second “Daddy’s Home” Question:

    What did your mom order?

    I love a “garbage” pizza. Green peppers, onion, mushrooms, sausage and pepperoni. Plenty of cheese, and of course, that great tomato sauce. Also, make mine either deep dish or thick crust.

    . . . while sightseeing in Germany, we decided to order a pepperoni pizza at the local parlor. What we were served was a pizza with green peppers! I cannot eat spicy foods and it was NOT what we ordered! The server insisted that it was what we did order, “pepperoni pizza”! Fortunately, another customer explained to us in English, then to the waiter in German, that in America “pepperoni” is a meat and in Germany “peperoni” is a green pepper. How amusing! Our pizza was immediately replaced and we left an “American tip”! So, we were able to continue our group tour! What an wonderful adventure during our four years in Germany! Priceless! :)

    Pizza is much better now, in general, than when I was a child. Also, my family never had much money. The pizza we order now (or make ourselves) is with a very good yeast dough and baked in a wood fired in a brick oven. Couldn’t really find either of those 50 years ago in CA, although you could in Italy.
