Geez, Mom, can’t I keep it? It followed me home.

Sorry - up late tonight.

And how long has it been since 1000 dollar bills were in circulation? I think Nixon phased them out in the early 70’s, also about the same time frame that Locher’s writing last made sense.

One of those today would be worth a lot more than $1000 to a collector.

Let’s see. The Sunday comic was almost a complete rehash of the prior week. Now, on Tuesday, we are getting a rehash of the ONLY new panels on Sunday. Could they just throw in some Fearless Fosdicks for us to read until something happens?

Another EXCELLENT Dick Tracy comic strip! Everybody will have their favorite panel, but mine is definitely the third one! Just look at the wonderment in that boy’s eyes! And such incredible detail in that thousand dollar bill!

The only way this installment could possibly be better would be if it was in color!

Oh well. We fans are allowed to dream, aren’t we?

As exciting as the fake $1 - Million dollar bill someone was passing out to my wife at a store and we have it on our refrig.

How big do you suppose the words RESERVE and NOTE are?

Actually, it’s a government plot to raise money. They give out the thousand dollar bills via the homeless; the recipients are dubbed “rich”; they then take it back in taxes. Brilliant.

$1000 dollar bills have not been printed since 1945 and were removed from circulation in 1969. So this story line must be taking place in that time period?

I have 2 Confederate bills, a $5 and a $10, that belonged to my Great-Grandfather, who was wounded in the Battle of Snake River. I even took them to an expert and found out that they are authentic.

The boy needs to visit Sue D and get some of her superglue, so he can hold the $1000 bill with one fingernail.

I had no idea that Oliver Hardy was on the $1000 bill.

I never get that lucky someone give me even $100 bill. I would take to bank to make sure it’s real though. Though counterfeiters use fake $20’s.

Well, at least you cannot accuse Locher and Brozman of counterfeiting.

Would it be amiss for me to be the one to mention That giving out thousand dollar bills, brings on lots of attention By their not being out in the general circulation Receiving one would bring about cries of acclamation So if your looking for a life filled with anonymity Don’t pass out 1000 dollar bills with magnanimity One hundred million in thousand dollar bills In volume, it would fill 8.4 cubic feet And weigh 204 pounds, that would look really neat Another little thing that I wish to bring to light They record the serial numbers, you know they just might So with a little bit of checking of the bank and of the kid Off this whole story, Tracy could blow the lid But this story has a long way to go before it runs out So we’ll bang our heads and give an angry shout Knowing that we are in for inconsistencies and incomprehension For we are told it’s just Lochers’ way of building up the tension Then there comes the time of the final denouement And we find that we have been taken by a really big con.

Reminds me of the story of the guy that tried to spend a 2 dollar bill at a BestBuy and ended up with treasury agents grilling him

Two-dollar bills are extremely unlucky. A lady at a seven-eleven tried to give me one in change a while back and I refused it. She was really hacked off. I knew then that she had been trying to get it out of her store and no one was accepting it. Old wives tale? Probably,but why take a chance?

please send all your ‘unlucky’ $2 bills to me.

anyway, could this episode drag on any more slowly? let’s get to the part where spacey runs, hides and cowers like a yellow dog – now that’s entertainment!

Again with the talking building! Btw, I have some new grass that folks might like watching grow if this plot goes any more slowly.

My fav of the day is the second panel…..oh just look at the detail!!! ….not too mention that it does appear the building is talking!…….Wow…must have taken hours and hours to draw that….very imaginative…..

The seal of the federal bank branch (J, Kansas City) looks like it was done with a spirogragh.
