Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Good morning VB and everyone. Well, I said yesterday that Specs was a little clueless. Here is confirmation. So, it’s off to casino row after the “police business.”
Regarding the discussion last night of StillDaMan shirts, it will have to wait. I almost forgot that the Oscars were on. I need more time to do a proper job of new shirts. The 50% off sale ends in less than two hours, but there’ll be other sales in the future.
I’m not sure what’s to become of DJ’s fingers. They might survive, but it seems that Ivanov’s assessment that DJ seems to be the local crime boss is true.
Well, It’s good to see that Spec’s got an eye for these things … he’s slipped into ‘tropical’ gear to better ‘blend in’ to the visual landscape - in Cuba ! (?)‘Reminds’ of a Dick Tracy shirt Rick Fletcher had on the latter prior to a trip (was it to Hawaii?) many years ago.
And speaking of “Shirts if Locher’s pic ‘appears’, on those Neil’s doing (no discount is needed) … I’ll pay Full Price !
Just so long as the words “Still Da Man” also appears on them !‘Gotta’ keep things, in their historical perspective !I’ll even store it alongside my Giant Collector’s ‘Copy’ … of the Flattop story, done by the ‘late’ Andy Feighery of Spec fame !
And speaking of “CLUELESS” . . . ?… it seems - Wunbrow also falls into that Category, as with his copy of the Wrist Wizard he’s now fully ‘armed’ with the same “See Through” technology Specs wears on his head.A Multi Million Dollar Gift on the right (knowing) hand !
Looks like DJ will have contro over Specs and Spicy and take advantage of Specs special capability. They escaped from The Apparatus and they jumped right into the hands of a Cuban syndicate.DJ really has something special for Tracy…. DJ loves DT
Mendoza and his men are going to make it big in the casino, thanks to Specs but I guess it will only be a one-night thing as I am sure the casinos will not allow Specs back again. That’s what Specs gets for playing the shell game.
I didn’t forget — I skipped the telecast entirely, as I always do.
Having run a small chain of movie rental stores until a few years back, I still have more interest than the average person in what goes on in Hollywood. They did some things this year to make it less boring, and I think they were somewhat successful in this.
It’s nice to see Spicy again, but I am beginning to wonder if she’s undergoing a change in personality. She was the one who wanted to get away from the Apparatus and earn money legally. Now she seems more determined than ever to start a gang, and is getting impatient and quick-tempered. Or maybe this is a side of her that we are seeing for the first time.I didn’t know there were casinos in Cuba. I thought the Castro government had shut them down years ago.
DJ has been around a long time. I’m sure he knows to to sacrifice his underlings, like Lex Luthor does. I’d be surprised to see DJ take a fall. He’ll probably call in a favor from Wunderbrau
I resemble some of the remarks here about the Oscars. I ignore them like I do all the celebrity award shows. Seems to be these people have enough fame and money without being showered with even more. How about a show to honor every day heroes who do extraordinary things in the line of duty? I think many police, firemen, teachers etc. may apply.
Maybe Mike will come up with a way to indicate an encrypted transmission …
There was one “secure, coded transmission” when Moscow called Ivanov, but that was indicated in the actual conversation. I don’t suppose Mendoza is worrying about “encrypting” his phone call.
Like people who clean toilets at college dorms?.How about site moderators? Talk about an underappreciated and thankless job. They’re heroes in my book! Absolutely!
Oy! DJ appears to have a bad end in mind for Specs and Spicy, if his phone conversation with Mendoza means what it seems to mean. As for the police business, DJ may get a surprise there, because Kiko and Esteban are in the process of botching the job (again, if that is the police business in question)….
Apple knows the encryption status of their phones and they don’t want to break it. For that reason they refuse to open the terrorist’s phone.
Nobody’s actually asking Apple to open the terrorist’s phone. For security reasons, the phone erases all it’s contents after 10 wrong passwords are entered in a row. The FBI is asking for endless password attempts. Also, in certain situations, the phone will make you wait up to a couple of minutes between guesses. The FBI would like to be able to make guesses with very little time between them.

Isn’t it a bit on the warm side to be wearing a turtleneck sweater in Cuba?

Not since they relegated special effects to a by-the-way segment …
It seems that the general public doesn’t care much about special effects, but they seemed to get enough attention during the awards broadcast.AnyFace almost 9 years ago
Thinking about it, I wonder if “Mendoza” is a reference to the Zorro character of the same name.
