OMG! So sorry to hear about that, Leaky!Hope you’re doing all right, and getting good care. We all miss you — but don’t push yourself.Your “job” in Crustwood is secure. Thanks for taking the time to let us know Marg.I know you’re busy. Now the TWO of you need to heal…. and sooner rather than later!
And that enormous phone bill would be a result of him calling the Penny’s all the time. Imagine what it would be like if he were talking about the rest of the nation.
Never did come back to talk about the strip…. oh yeah… that.
Find a heart in the bank. Uh huh. We’ve seen that sneaky old lady in this bank before, blatantly riding her 3-wheeler into the vault and absconding with the giant Sack-o-Cash.They never watch sweet old ladies… after all, they’re not going to do anything wrong, are they?Prison orange…. an appropriate color for Burl’s Lehman Brothers leisure shirt.Of course, this is set in the 90’s so they weren’t in prison yet….or now… sigh… Yikes! 90’s loan rates, too.
Burl doesn’t think they should have to pay for bouncing checks….cos after all, if they got a call they could come down next week and cover ’em.Ooops – Easter is Sunday and we need candy.Better make that two weeks, wouldja, good buddies? Right.Well, Crustwoodians, this is Good Morning and also… Good Night!PS Dave… thanks for the tablet advice yesterday,And get better Leaky! And Marg. And Dazz — no getting the plumber drunk for a better deal.
Leaky! So sorry to hear of your accident. Take care of yourself and we will all await your return to DS and your “special” posts. It’ll be darker here without you.
I don’t know who to feel sorrier for, the Pennys or the banker. Poor guy has gotta be wondering why they are so very interested in NSF charges, although debit transaction fees are a problem. It occurs to me that this pair deserves each other, like two wolverines in a pit.I must say, however, that community savings and loans and credit unions are not the same as BofA, etc.Good morning to all!
Good morning all, and best to Leaky! And after speaking to my plumber last night I ordered a new washer from Sears (mine was almost 14 YO) and it broke before the rinse so for now I’ll use a hose on the line as soon as it’s light this morning. I don’t imagine I can get deliv B4 Mon or Tues. I’ll rewash that load later.
Marg — expecting Leaky to “know better”??You should know better! He’s all about the flash… bet they were 6" at least, counting the platforms!Seriously, it all sounds very painful. Poor Leaky.
Leaky, my eldest son has been employed in prostetics for years now (as a mechanical/electrical engineer). As I have mentioned my kids were born from 1960-, so none are just kids (that son has both of his sons finishing college). I’ll be very happy to see everyone in July and plan to post a photo from the wedding. I think his work has been mostly knees and ankles (not sure as he does not communicate details)

Would that phone bill be close to the National debt?

I did here from Leaky today. He fell, and shattered his shoulder. He needed to have a total replacement. Your good wishes would be most welcome.

I was glad to read that he and Dazz hadn’t run off together. She was with her plumber instead.

I’m so sorry to hear of your accident, Leaky. I hope the replacement works well for you. My friends with knee replacements swear by them.
And why is the guard carrying “ones”? Does he make change?

So sorry to hear about Leaky’s misfortune……however, it is making me take a closer look at “bedroom gymnastics” so I can avoid a similar fate.
Hope you get back “on post” very soon.
