in the old days on flights from the mainland to Hawaii the sky waitresses would walk up and down the center aisle with a can of bug killer in each hand spraying away. Now passengers just fill out forms.
The usual propellent for “bug bombs” is propane. Nice job spraying to around the grill. Good awareness, Burl—“What?”
When we were kids we used to run outside and follow the mosquito sprayer truck around in the cloud. Nobody cared. Maybe that’s why we’re so whacked-out.
True testament; Friday the 13th is a bad thing. Here goes:1. I had a wreck today. No injuries—yet.2, In my wife’s car.3. I hit the chief constable in our county precinct.4. He was in his fine personal Chevy truck. (I think I need Witness Protection!)5. Cypress Creek, which is 1/4 mi from my house is six feet above flood stage and rising. The bridge over it is covered. (Ten miles upstream we have had 14 inches of rain in the past 48 hours.)
About that creek…. if it’s six feet above its banks a quarter mile away…. I can’t picture the water just standing there six feet tall…. so doesn’t that put it somewhere near, say….your living room?
I hope there’s a valley in between so it has someplace else to go!
And sorry to sound out of touch, but weren’t you guys in the middle of a drought?
X — they don’t want anything organic in their bug spray cos it might rot and be dangerous to swallow or inhale.
Pure chemical bug spray is obviously safer.
And BTW thanks for explaining yesterday about the spam particle….I think I have a whole pile of ’em clogging the filters inside my computer. The web is in there too….maybe I should spray it with some of that Bug Off.
Happy Bastille Day to all!!!!!!!!!.Bet Joy’s shirt has “CHIPS” on the back..Mikie: Hopefully the “no injuries-yet” refers to the Missus finding out about you damging her car. Hope that Creek stays away from. Good Luck and stay safe.
We would run behind the sprayer trucks . Had fun. But sadly now we do not have the fire flies. They died and the mosquitoes live on. Not many trucks around here anymore, we don’t want them.
I’m just catching up on my internet stuff and FB as well as some of my toons on a Monday PM while BF does some service calls. We spent the first weekend days makeing up for lost time ;-D

Marg — I was thinking the same thing….at least the burgers won’t have mosquitoes, except for dead ones.
Hey, maybe she could spray the mouse too.
I knew someone who went to several stores when he heard DDT had been banned, hoping to stock up before he couldn’t get “good bugspray” any more.
Mornin’, Daddy, and Toenails.Don’t wanna leave you out!
or everybody coming later….G’morning to you too ….and don’t inhale till the air clears.

I’ve been told, though I can not verify this, that bug spray on hamburgers makes a wonderful condiment!
