The wood block? What’s that? Is he playing spoons on his head? And here I thought he was a disciple of Le Petomane and could play the Star Spangled Banner with his….Dale playing the trumpet just stirred a random memory of the crazy brother in “Arsenic and Old Lace.”

Good thing Burl didn’t play the alto clarinet…. He would have set music back 200 years.

I hope they emptied the fridge before unplugging it.I wonder if they couldn’t go anywhere last year because they locked and closed the door BEFORE they left the house.

None of them could play a radio without screwing it up. I bet his wood block performance was like the guy (there’s always one) who picks up the tambourine and tries to accompany the bank. You know the one. Half a beat off.

It is with great sadness that I am writing this. I have received an email from DAZZ’s son that she passed away on December 6.Here is a copy of that email:

    Dear Family and Friends,

" My mother, Virginia L. D., passed away on 6 December 2014 in North Phoenix of a Heart Attack while driving (she never was a great driver for those of us who really knew her). Virginia was born on 30 Sep 37 and passed away on 6 Dec 14 at age 77. She worked as a Draftsperson and HVAC CAD/CAM professional before retiring in North Phoenix. She is survived by her four children and six wonderful grandchildren. She was a talented professional, a caring creative and artistic individual, and a terrific mother and will be deeply missed. She thoroughly enjoyed her many hobbies, her birds (Cuddles the Cockatoo and Fitzroy the African Grey Parrot), and her warm affiliation with the SCA as Beatrice Fayrewether of the Aviary. She requested to be cremated with her close companion Cuddles the Cockatoo. Memorial Services will be at Samaritan Funeral Home at 1505 E. McDowell Rd, Phoenix AZ on 13 Dec 14 from 9AM until noon. In lieu of flowers she requested donations to any Cancer Society or Organization. May God Bless Her Soul in Heaven."

    Love,R.L. (her son)
