It’s like the joke about Himalayan salt being millions of years old. But packages of it have an expiration date or “use by” date. I guess they packaged it just in time.

Yes, this was mentioned on NPR recently that most “use by dates” can be ignored safely. This doesn’t apply to fresh foods, but other goods (like pork rinds!). Most blood pressure medications, if stored in a cool, dark place, would be OK (not ideal) to take after the expiration date.

“Dr. Fanconi says it’s OK to use our 20 year old tetracycline.”

They would be ok but not as strong

…don’t tell me, let me guess: that creamer was out of date a year ago…….
