if youâre looking to set yourself up for a fall, you should go around telling people how you plan to remain sane. then if you go crazy later on, oh wow! everyone will say âremember how truly intent he used to be on remaining sane? how ironic.â
This idea could actually work (financially, not artistically.) I bet Caliban and Ariel had all kinds of crazy cartoonish adventures that could be used to sell childrenâs cereal before the event of âThe Tempestâ.
The only problem with this idea is that I canât help but think it would be about as well received as the Star Wars prequels, which in many ways had the same sort of approach.
But said, Iâm game for prequels of Hamlet, Julius Caesar, and Twelfth Night (my personal favorites).
