We had this old 78 player when I was a kid in the late 50’s that my parents had bought in the late 40’s early 50’s. I remember those ‘big’ singles that were almost as big as LP’s. The two i distinctly remember was ‘The Theme from the 3rd Man’ and the other one was ‘Boogie Woogie’ by Tommy Dorsey.

I served at a US Navy shore station in Morocco back in 1962. Our janitor brought in an old victrola style player. He wanted to know if we could modify it to play stereo. Of course, we couldn’t but I think we missed a chance to buy an valuable antique.
