I have sometimes vacuumed my dogs during flea season! Fleas are a constant battle.

My boxers never minded being vacuumed. The current dog actually likes it!

My first pet was a cat when I was young. We adopted him full grown from the Animal Shelter. He was a Persian mix with very long hair. He LOVED to be vacuumed. We had a portable vac that had a hose attachment. Whenever we started it the cat would lay down and roll over on his back telling us not to forget to vac him too. Got LOTS of cat hair off him that way, but not sure about the fleas.

I had a Chesapeake Bay Retriever that loved to be vacuumed. She would wait until I finished the floors then come begging to be vacuumed next.
