It’s gotten so bad that if I leave the house and discover that I don’t have my phone on me, I’m a nervous wreck…I know it’s crazy, it amazing how times have changed. I remember if you were out and needed to call someone, you looked for a phone booth.
Way back when I went to Bible college, we women were still required to wear skirts most of the day. This college was situated in a wind-prone canyon area. We were always juggling books and purse and keeping the skirt down.
There was a little nook I passed each day going to class. There was a low retaining wall, about 2 feet high, that had a corner. The wind swept right over the top of it. At the right time of day, it caught the sun just right. As we hurried by on our way to classes, we would often see a big orange tabby sleeping peacefully in that corner. He had not a care in the world.
I remember thinking to myself, as he napped and I juggled purse and books and skirt, “How in the world do we call them dumb animals?”

It is your choice to either always look at the phone, or sniff the trees.

Just say NO to the social media and entertainment. What you will have left is a very usable and portable communications and research tool……

Bible college? LOL!!! How could that look good on a resume? Fiction does not help get a job.

Mine is on silent and at the bottom of my backpack. Of course I’m cruising the Internet via laptop so I really have no wiggle room.
