Andy: So, Joanie...Know any new AIDS jokes? Joanie: Of course not. Do you? Andy: Yeah, I know one, but I can't...can't remember it...I'm so tired these days, Joanie, so...very...very...tired... Joanie: Oh, Andy, I... Andy: Wait, I got it! Rabbie walks into an AIDS clinic... Doctor: Heard it.
This is my proposed recreation of Andy’s joke. A Rabbi walks into an AIDS clinic. He peeks into each room, says something in Hebrew, and moves onto another. One of the nurses asks if what he’s saying is a prayer for the sick. “Yes,” he says, “but it’s also how I hope to locate my client.” “Client?” the nurse asks. “Yes,” the Rabbi says, “you see, I’m here on behalf of the Hebrew Immigrant AIDS Society!”
