Jeff: So how have you been making out with the babes lately, Zip? Zipper: Great! You know about Cricket, of course... Jeff: Cricket? That was years ago, dawg. Zipper: Um... guess that's right... Jeff: No one else? Zipper: I once thought about dating Taylor Swift. Jeff: No kidding? Why'd you pull up?
I find today’s strip to be a bit prophetic. I suspect, sadly, there are millions of idle, jobless, and dateless young men doing exactly what Jeff and Zipper are doing – wasting their lives, sitting around playing video-games and fantasizing. ’Unfortunately, this type of behavior, can sometimes spawn the sort of individuals responsible for the Aurora or Columbine shootings.
