Jeff: Hey... it's King! Zipper: Yeah, he sometimes eats here with Dean Campbell. Last week I overheard them discussing a plan to turn Walden into a for-profit college... Jeff: What? Are you sure? Zipper: Yup. I wasn't trying to eavesdrop, but King said something that pricked up my ears... Jeff: "For-profit?" Zipper: No, "America's first paid college football team."

You mean they’re not paid now ?

I see that GT is off the political track for now.
It doesn’t matter. The regulars here will find a way to put political spin on this one.
And as for being America’s first paid college team? No. No. No, no, no, no…

I’d like to see a story line about how quickly the Democrats went from “voter suppression” to “the people have spoken”

yea, that has to be sarcasm. come to any college and watch the money flying all over the place when it comes to football.football is the why there are colleges. lol not the other way around.
and who needs to politicize anything. way past that. called MONEY

Even though Obama won, voter suppression remains an issue.

Obama won the election. Move on, I’m sure with all the scandals, fiscal cliff’s etc. looming in the news you can find something to entertain your prurient interests.

Smells like a rerun strip, to me.

The sad fact is that Computer studies don’t generate the revenue that Gator football does. A Saturday afternoon game at The Swamp rakes in millions between tickets sales, television rights, Gator paraphernalia sales etc. They only ones who don’t get “paid” for their services are the “student athletes” ,

Los Repulicans tiene otros problemas más grandes que la supresión de votantes.
Jeff Redfern could enroll in grad school, but, maybe “the Company” should assign him to monitor Jill Kelley’s email.

“I see that GT is off the political track for now. ¶ But I’d sure like to see a story line on how different Republicans have different reasons why they lost the presidential election this year.”
Me 2. Karl Rove accused Demos of “voter suppression”. No, really! When queried, he said he meant pro-Obama TV commercials against Romney. He said nothing about pro-Romney TV commercials against Obama.

Do we know yet why Jeff lost everything? Did I miss it?

Does this mean we’ll be swamped with their ads on TV? Colorado Technical Institute must spend a fortune on advertising. “I don’t care about a job.” People who do go to real schools.

… back to our subject here today: I am under the impression that Zip’s college attendance is on account of secondary benefits like discounted food at the college cafeteria, and Jeff visited him there for same. Please correct me if I am vainly suspicious and/or odiously far off.

@ YatInExile – about as fast as the Republicans went from the “the people will speak” to “massive voter fraud”.

DylanThomas-pie who said: And I’m under the impression that Zip’s generous-and-ever-lovin’ Uncle Zonk won $23 million from a lottery ticket, thus relieving Nephew from ever having to secure any monetary loans ever from any source [etc] …. (JFF=just for fun) wow, that’s good to know, if ‘real’; what’s the resource? publishin’ date? do you give out the bibliography for this detailed info?.JFF 2: what do you say about Jeff growing his hair? ’cause I wonder if in GT’s opinion that’s Jeff’s strongest attribute, the very reason why he’s still wearin’ this head. And his fresh salon haircuts don’t last: i.e. no home-made haircuts or even trims for Jeff yet. Sure that takes out of his pocket money and nutritious food is required to grow it back. The hair, I mean.

.JFF→ No need fo’ , either.Good insider intuition. I don’t think it’s all gossip of you, I mean. Even if Zonker did not make any special advances to the Walden. So many of the family wet there, that one runt will be tolerated. Automatically. |←JFF. No need for much brain-storm to dig out real cases. Thanks for this useful discussion: two and two finally added up ( …in circles off-limits to the doonesburys …). Back to JFF: the insider information I gained with your help reinforces my position in 2nd post up.

“Must mean King Obama”
No, it must mean newly-coined independent U.S. Senator Angus King who just dashed GOP hopes by deciding to caucus (and thus vote) with the Democrats.

DT The Uncredited Crusaders was in reference to the footballs teams name ala Phoenix Ewes.
andymeijers about 12 years ago
Like they aren’t paid now? They should call college football what it is- the NFL farm system. Most fans barely realize there is a college attached to their favorite semi-pro teams.
