Denis McDonough: Mr. President, we're still being outmatched... We're now allocating 15% of our time to damage control, but Congress is using 33% of its committees to investigate you... I recommend we ramp up to 50%, throw them off-balance, then throttle back to 5% and in the confusion, use the extra time to drive through our agenda. Barack Obama: And how much time went into that idea? Denis McDonough: Um... it was off the clock.

Why can’t we go after handguns, period?” — President Richard Nixon. P.S. “Today’s so-called ‘conservatives’ don’t even know what the word means. They think I’ve turned liberal because I think a woman has a right to an abortion. That’s a decision up to the pregnant woman, not up to the pope, or some do-gooders, or the Relgious Right. It’s not a conservative issue at all.” — Barry Goldwater
