I guess it’s easy to kick a man if he hasn’t had success for a while. In the end, Eddie Murphy is still the guy who did 48 Hrs., Trading Places, Beverly Hills Cop, and Coming To America (all in the ‘80s). And, believe it or not, he did some great work post-’80s (The Distinguished Gentleman, The Nutty Professor, Bowfinger, Dreamgirls). I’ll take Eddie Murphy at his best over most comedic actors.
