It’s beyond some people to see why others could possibly be angry. After riots in the 60’s news reporters (not talking heads) went into neighborhoods and asked people what they needed and wanted. 3 universal answers: jobs in the area that paid living wages, good schools for their children, and decent, liveable housing. 50 years later (that’s half a century, got it now?) on the anniversary reporters went back and asked what the community needed and wanted. Do you want to guess what the universal answers were? Damn right there’s a reason to be mad. Those aren’t handouts people want, those are basic needs and rights. People who just want to work, learn, live, and to be left alone. Just like everybody else.
