Sorry Mike – I’ve never heard of that being the reason for “Take Your Daughter to Work Day”…the strip makes an important point, but with an imaginary set-up.
If I remember correctly Take Your Daughter to Work Day was created to inspire girls to be more career minded. It was a PC 90’s thing to get women out of the home.
