The last time we saw the Rascal, he was apparently falling from a great height to his death into a river. But we all knew better. After all, when was the last time a hero – or villain – ever met their true end falling into water?

1,000 klicks is about 600 miles, so at best walking 50 miles a day would have taken 12 days.

A comment on how difficult it is to evacuate American civilians? On how even a country like Pakistan cares about vaccinations? On how naive about their behavior Americans tend to be in foreign countries? So many questions….

I thought singing “Kumbaya” would be more appropriate.

Meanwhile, in Overland Park, Kansas no one asks for proof of vaccination. My daughter is in NYC and she is frequently asked for it. In California, they are cracking down too. I know someone who died of Covid in September in Overland Park. It’s not over.

I haven’t seen the Maroon Moron for a while. Didn’t he get indicted for Jan 6th, or 7th or whatever. I could of sworn I saw him crawling out a window with a typewriter.

Although I am a Chiefs fan, I admired Aaron Rodgers up until recently, since I found out that he was unvaccinated and tried to mislead many in thinking that he had gotten the shots. At this point, it would seem that the Packers should possibly forfeit the game. If AR has covid, it seems only logical that the rest of the team also has been exposed. Rodgers is the biggest star on the team. KC QB Mahomes and Coach Reid were vaccinated early on and made it public at the time. 99% of Chiefs are vaccinated. Nevertheless, there are breakthrough cases and we need to stop the spread to others who may be more vulnerable. Mahomes spoke about his infant daughter when he received his shots last spring. This is what a true leader does. Mahomes is not the only one who has someone vulnerable in his life. Some have said that this isn’t fair since those who are vaccinated can still spread Covid. While this is true, it isn’t as likely to happen. Also, the person who was vaccinated took a big step to avoid the disease in the first place. Very different from those who are not taking responsibility and getting vaccinated from Covid 19. If vaccinated and there is an outbreak, the game should just be delayed. If unvaccinated and there is an outbreak, the infected and unvaccinated side should forfeit the game. Those who don’t want the shot are free not to get it, but not to make the rest of us (who have gotten the vaccine) miserable. We saw a new group coming forward for shots this week— grade school children! Shout out to all the little ones now getting the chance to get their lives back! Shout out to Big Bird of Sesame St. who spoke on social media about his sore wing (for a day) after he received the shot!

I always thought that the Red Rascal was based on “El Borak” written by Robert E. Howard (the Conan guy).

Francis Gordan was a Texan who lived in Afghanistan back in the days of The Raj. The Afghans called him “El Borak” which was supposed to mean swift in Arabic. Howard wrote a ton of these El Borak stories, I always enjoyed them. Quick, simple, full of adventure.

Incidentally El Borak is a play off of “Buraq” who was the horse of the Prophet Muhammad.

I’ve been wondering why DoD didn’t have a firm plan in place. Surely they started planning as soon as the deal was struck, a year before the final withdrawal took place? Were they ignoring the former commander-in-chief? Or were they sabotaging the incoming CIF? Or did they just bank on the withdrawal never happening, that they could talk Biden out of it the way they did Obama? It’s not like the President is going to micromanage the withdrawal, that’s why he has a staff. A very high-ranking and experienced staff.
