OH, Ralph, you sneaky smartie, you!

MUCH more than I’ve come to expect from him. This may call for a re-evaluation!

I used to tell my wife that we needed to leave 1/2 hour ahead of time. That way we left on time.

Hofstadter’s Law: It always takes longer than you expect, even when you take into account Hofstadter’s Law.

I have to do this with my hubby, he’s always the one running late. He caused our son and his girlfriend to miss their bus back to college because he just knew he had enough time to play one last video game with him – baseball! We got there in time to see the bus pull off and had to scramble to make other arrangements because they had an exam that Monday!

Aaaaaaand THAT’S how the man (?) of the house has to play it. Nice move, Ralph.

Before my wedding, we gave my in-laws a time 30 minutes early, because we know they’re always late. They found out the day before and got very mad at us for not trusting them. Then they arrived 30 minutes late anyway.

If I didn’t find it funny, I’d want to scream.

My sister-in-law will be late for her own funeral. My brother used to set every clock in the house fast so they would have time to get where they were supposed to be on time. She finally caught on. I’m not sure she is ever on time, but I think she is a little better now than she used to be.

@Mike G, I always had to wait on my ex husband. It’s not always the wives that are late, it’s also the husbands too.

This is pretty much my usual Sunday morning. []No matter how early I start getting ready, someone or something will demand a piece of my time. Even if it’s “getting stuck at a traffic light” or something similar, I’m almost always late for church.
