Wrong, wrong, wrong. You should have in mind what you want before you leave home. Then you buy the first tree that fits your vision for a reasonable price. Any other approach just leads to madness.
I really don’t miss going out looking for a tree and can’t imagine the cost today!
My wife have the same approach on buying shoes, I can find what I need quickly, not so much when the shoe is on the other foot.
