While I do try to keep things clean and tidy, I am no match for my wife. She was commenting one day about cleaning up after me, and I told her, “Play your cards right and you will be cleaning up after me for another 20 or 30 years.” She still comments on me, but now follows it up with, “Oh well, I guess you’re not so bad after all.” That, to me, is a win.

Housework should be divided based on how much time each person spends earning tge money. If one doesn’t have a job then the housework is their job.
