I think it is a bit more than ironic that the dead dinosaur juice we use the power our cars, and all that are major causes for global warming and another possible extinction level event.
Humans have existed less than 1 million years, Hominids have been traced back about 20 million years. The Jurassic dinosaurs existed 65 million years before being wiped out; it’s a bit early to be criticizing their extinction.
It wasn’t the explosion, it was the climate change post-hit that caused extinction… don’t think a bomb shelter would have helped unless it was Extremely well-provisioned.
