It was 40 here last night, and I didn’t see a single kid all night. Last year we had about a hundred. Modern parents are wusses. When I was young, 70 years ago, we’d be making the rounds even if it was snowing.
As a kid in Western New York our costumes consisted of a Plastic Face held on by elastic. Horse, Lamb, Fireman, Dog. Those lasted until we all had worn each mask once.

Idaho has you beat—we were about upper 30s this Halloween. But it was also gloomy and stormy, so it also did wonders for setting the right mood. :D

The Labans are Philly locals. This year it was 82 degrees on Halloween. I wore shorts and a t-shirt.
