“Marty Monday” . Here’s something about Marty’s personal life. Marty was born, raised and lived her entire life in San Francisco. To many of her friends she was known as Martha Arguello. During the 1940’s, Marty married Alex Arguello the son of a prominent family from San Fran. The Arguello family were one of the first settlers in the SF Bay Area and the 1st commandant of the SF Presidio was Alex’s great, great grandfather. Arguello Blvd and Ortega Street in San Fran are named after Marty’s in-laws.
