There’s an annual game out there called the Almaniac, a list of 80 often tricky questions whose answer is in the World Almanac, whose purchase is included in the entry fee. We usually get a certificate for having the best score in Wyoming, and occasionally miss few enough to get a trophy. Its spinoff the Fallmaniac is made up of questions submitted by players; all but two of mine have been used, at least in modified form (for instance, in 1996 I asked whether one could could select candiadates for both President and Vice President from Fay Wray, Demi Moore, William Shatner, and Ronald Reagan – the answer being “No” because only Fay Wray met all qualifications. They named a few other candidates with other disqualifications).
