OH, Poor WALLY! I bet he doesn’t even want Holly to see him that beat up.I doubt if she is dead, but that would sure help. If they don’t get out of there soon they may not know what happened.
I wonder if Marx knows that there is some kind of safety over-ride that will prevent the ship from being destroyed. Where would be the profit (lucre) in that?
Just goes to show how good this comic is. One tiny little line in the corner can make you think two different things. Inside, outside. Please don’t kill the kitty. So she had a little hissy fit. We all do now and then!
So, The previous captain has to be dead… and Flask hoodwinked the computer from AM before he found the Bridge/Control Room. Apparently he didn’t just win the ship in a game of chance but claimed ownership after the previous captain’s demise before obtaining command per protocol. Last question, Who or what actually killed the previous skipper and what happened to the crew if there was one?
having to deal with my own few knock-down drag outs, I can feel Wally’s pain, both the physical and for what he is being asked. Nothing hurts worse to a born pacifist than to be told he has to cause deliberate harm. I wonder if he is strong enough to do what must be done to save our gallant crew, or will Aaron bring us another plot twist on Monday that will fill us with shock and awe?
Books are here! What can I say that hasn’t already been said? When can we order book 3!?! ;-) Aaron, they are almost too nice to read! Congratulations!
@Janbic, Dwandelt, and Surfstuff: Thought it might be too esoteric, but I thought of it yesterday. The last verse is especially evocative of Wally; “But the Fighter still remains, lie la lie…”
I’m waiting for people to start catching the irony here. Wally, a pacifist, is being forced to take physical action to stop the mass-murder of the genocidists that are about to pull their own trigger on the bomb themselves. In order to “stop the killing”, Wally’s first act is to kill someone that already wants to die.Flask gave everyone on the ship ample time to leave, so none of them were ever in any danger from her. Further Flask never ordered the ship to crash into the dome – all she had to say was “enter their air space”. Up to the point where Wally provoked her, Flask hadn’t intended to fight him. In fact, she’s been very passive-aggressive, allowing others to do the killing themselves. If she really wanted to insure that her plan works, she would have shot Wally in the leg and let Petey carry him off the ship. Instead, she deliberately provoked him into fighting her so that he either has to kill her himself, or die with her (or, against all reason, find a way to save everyone, including herself). Before anyone goes into the “Flask kills mutants” speech, remember that one of the two interrogators was one of Jake Jackrabbit’s anti-Topsider sympathizers. By leaking information saying that Al and Gustine had led Topsiders to Endtown, the Mole was fomenting an anti-human riot that could have resulted in hundreds dying, including Al, and the possible exposure of Endtown’s location to the Topsiders. Flask had herself “killed to stop the killing”. If Flask killing the two interrogators to prevent mass riots and more deaths is enough to have her executed now by Wally (and it’s arguable that by wiping out the outpost she’s saving countless mutant lives, so it’s more “killing 1 to save 10”), then the second Wally kills her, he should die himself for similar “crimes”.

Definitely still on the bridge, by the way

I bet if PT takes her off the ship and they say she is dead the ship will have to take their word for it.
Also, wouldnt it be cool if the missiles the topsiders shoot at the boat end up hitting the satelite?

Wally seems more likely to try to punch a hole in the computer, if he can figure out how.
Arcaton over 12 years ago
Shoot a comatose kitty? Wally wouldn’t shoot her in the back let alone when she was “out”.

Maybe he should of said that she’s dead.

Flask is an unconscious target, and there is a machine gun resting against the wall.Just making an observation, that’s all.

Mister Neathery, you have the ability to tell exceptionally good stories.

Easy enough; just toss her over the side. If she hits the dome and shatters it, she can still have her $#)& legacy.

I you haven’t voted, please do. Endtown slipped one to 28 and Doc Rat is down too (32).

Let’s see, tomorrow is FRIDAY. What’s the cliffhanger gonna be? Missiles in the air?

I say Wally slap Flask awake and force her to give over the ship. Flask needs to stay alive – she has other demons to fight….

Not to offend anyone of that persuasion in the crowd, but that computer sounds awfully British.
