Sending her Topside without food or any form of defense would be better than sending her back down into the colony. At least she’d stand half a chance up there.
Well, we all know Heather was innocent of that one. So, are we on her side, the side of justice? Or do we hand her over to the lynch mob, in the interest of civil peace? It’s the ex-mayor and the soon-to-be-ex-mare.
Gahhhh… poor Heather. She might have bludgeoned that other wolf to death with a brick in self-defense, but we know she didn’t murder the wolf who burned himself to death when he set fire to her laundry. (That doofus brought it on himself!)
Sending her to another colony is probably best for all. Heather would be able to rebuild her life safely somewhere else and remove a target from the lynch mob. The key word is “safely”: can they get her out of the colony unseen, and would she be able to get from Endtown to another colony without incident?
We know it was a wolf that arsoned the store. Question is how did he die? Remember she fled as he came in. Since the wolf she did kill didn’t become the martyr…….is this one going to be the first? My question is this…….was it the one burning the place or a body already planted there to frame her but arson wolf had his own agenda. Some thing is working behind the scenes. Remember Dittos need emotional energy to survive and reproduce (refer back to the ship and Holly)…….so are they feeding? Reproducing?
I’m guessing we are going to find out that the fire was not what killed the wolf in her shop. The theory will be that she killed him and then set the fire herself to cover it up.
I don’t know… The timing doesn’t seem right. What with everything going on currently. It seems like odd they would put that out right now. Makes me think someone at the Police Station, whether an officer or an intruder, put in that call.
I’d say keep her locked up and safe with the rats till things calm down, then assess what to do about the call for her re-arrest.
anything resembling a forensic investigation should reveal that the idiot burned himself in an arson attempt, assuming the trampling wolf mob didn’t completely contaminate the crime scene.
The last thing we saw were the police were very out-numbered and it was becoming anarchy. I suspect the mob took over the police station! This may not have been from the police at all.

Do the police seriously think Heather Hoss killed the wolf then set fire to her own business to cover up the murder?

That’s putting the char’t before the horse..

Aha! They’ve abandoned the principle of double jeopardy!

The police need a scapehorse.

You know, for someplace I would absolutely HATE to live in, I love stories set in Endtown.

Aha! The other shoe drops. I wondered what had happened to the crispy wolf.

But wasn’t that the idiot who pretty much toasted himself?

The idiot who died in his own fire?

“Heather Hoss lit a match, burned a poor wolf into ash. When Lou Pine heard what she did, Heather cracked open his head.”
I can hear the wolves chanting it now. It will probably be in the next Daily Fang. Eat your heart out, Lizzie Borden!
And feel free to quote me, Mr. Neathery… Consider it my contribution to your masterpiece that is Endtown.

Great! Now she needs another lawyer. Good luck with that…

This seemed to spring up on it’s own. I don’t recall The police being so sure it was her. And this was a complete surprise to us.

By the way—-some trial. Couldn’t wait to announce the verdict.
