Ugh. Yeah, “Topside, here we come!” I wonder how this will integrate with Chic’s current trajectory…
I predict Wally will clean up the place. (No starch in the collars, Wally)
Here, hold my dittos.
Wally will find a way of cleaning even such masses of laundry more efficiently. Though I expect when he does, he’ll find out what comes next when there are no more job assignments available for him.
They’re hanging Wally out to dry.
Work and punishment at the same time..
They’ve completely forgotten about Wally’s boredom factor.
An insightful mind, makes less work in no time!
Bins filled with clothes. Wally is a cat. Wally will find it difficult to not nap on this job,
Everybody in this place sends their laundry out?
How many are willing to believe that they assigned Wally to “laundry duty” to break his spirit and to make him more cooperative.
“…And by the way, put on some shoes!”
I give it at least 24 hours before he finds a way around it, and then tells the higher ups “it’s been lovely, but my loved ones and I are leaving.”
Either that, or the classic plot twist of “overhearing something he shouldn’t” through a laundry vent.
Interesting that the elephant man has holes in his ears… Check the 3rd panel, with his shadow on the wall.
So I checked it out, and that sort of thing can result from elephants fighting… which, in this context, is very interesting to quote Artie Johnson…

Just a thought but would the elephant have been afraid of Holly?
I wonder what happened o elephant man’s tusks?
You can see in Panel Four that Wally is already thinking. Still time to place your bets, folks! Let’s see how innovation can affect this place…
