Well, maybe now we get to see the rats’ inner sanctum. Interesting that they did not go to the hospital. Says a lot about how separate they are from the hoi polloi.

This is like that scene from The Wrath of Khan, except with rats.

One more sacrifice. One more EOS. End of Shift. One more picture on the Wall of Honor. The Thin Blue Line is one less. But the resolve to protect and serve will not end.

If there’s one thing I really want to know, it’s who builds the vehicles down here, clearly, there’s somebody with automotive expertise because there ain’t no way these came from the surface.

Maybe way, way back when the Countess had humans doing the Endtown dig out, the rats came in as the first inhabitants

Mr Neathery’s brilliance shows thru again. I have always disliked the rats, as Neathery has shown them to be callous, uncaring and often brutal in their dealings with the others in Endtown. Here we see just how isolated they are from the others, and get to see how they feel about each other. It’s a very moving sequence.

I’ve been following this strip since the milk trial in 2013. Sorry, but I’m not sure I have the patience to sit through a year of going back to the rats.
