Orchids usually die from over-care. They thrive on neglect. I water mine about once a month, if I remember. And about this time of year, they surprise me with blooms. I also have some terrestrial orchids outside which aren’t supposed to survive this far north. They do, with gusto. From three or four small plants, they have taken over half of a flower bed.
