I was born in 1949, but there were no computers anywhere near us ordinary folks back then, either…

I’ve always thought one of the most useful things a child could have on her wall is a world history timeline, including all major inventions.

It seems that Tregg’s grandmother is Flo, but who is Francesca’s grandmother? And are they related?

Boomers aren’t quite that old. At its deepest root, military intelligence installed their backdoors first. It all built up from those tubes & punchcards.

I was born in ‘42, before computers. My father died when I was 10, and my mother bought our first TV. It had a 12 inch screen, and there was only one station we could watch. After I graduated from high school, I bought a 6-transistor radio, state of the art back then. I enlisted in the Air Force to evade the Army, and learned electronics, both tube and solid state. Worked for the Telephone Company for 32 years, from crossbar to 5ESS. Now, I don’t even have a landline.
