We had an unofficial HOA – a group of people who had lived in our neighborhood long enough that they assumed they could dictate things… they sure got mad when they found that they had no way to enforce their whims… so they tried to create an official HOA…
When they came to my house to try to talk my wife and I into supporting their new HOA, first I pointed out that according to our town’s laws everybody would already be grandfathered – so their decisions would only apply to later residents.
The HOA pushers promised they would give residents a number of votes in proportion to how many years they’d lived in the neighborhood… I pointed out that we had lived there more than twice as long as they had, and it would be easy to persuade the other old timers to vote in a block to defeat anything the pushers offered for a vote… I also mused that the first order of business I would suggest would be to vote to dissolve the HOA…
The HOA pushers gave up when their canvassing revealed that nobody but them were interested in having an HOA. Most of those pushers moved away… (aww, so sad… /s).
I was responsible for the dissolution of an HOA. I did it by refusing to join when it was being formed. Since they failed to get everyone on-board, they decided to fold.
I believe its the Hillcrest Orthopedics Association. Great association, my neighbor was the president for about 12 years before he retired to the tristate area. Hilarious tho! LOLOLOL

Our town outlawed watering the lawn so anybody with green grass is suspect.

Or you could just make little Smarty Pants cut the freaking lawn !
locake about 3 years ago
You mow your lawn because you have pride in your home. Not because the HOA forces you to.

Nick Fury on line 1! He thinks anyone who can dismantle an HOA should be able to take down Hydra and kin.
