Many spend their childhood longing to become older so they can do more things. They then spend their adulthood longing to become young again so they can do more things.
That could have been me. I liked to pursue my interests and studies and hated social obligations. It wasn’t good, as I’m on the autism spectrum. It took me a long time to learn social skills.

Kids’ behaviour prepares you for being an adult. The rationalizations for the behaviour just become more intricate.
