People get swayed all the time on social media.

Nobody who knows you is surprised in the least.

Sounds like you commented in the mockery section.

Must not have been much of an opinion in the first place.

Must be a one off. I’ve never seen anyone change their minds on a political opinion. They’ll stick to their belief even after being shown the error of their ways multiple times. Especially the fanatical supporters. You know who they are

oh yeah. happens to me all the time. I just believe anything anyone tells me. the stupider the better. helps me make them (the other people) feel good about themselves – the sad part is that some of them think I am just being snarky. makes me so sad then. →_→ ←_←

Funny. Some people really do believe insulting someone makes them change their mind.

The problem is that a lot of mockery is not clearly marked (or “mocked”, as we say). Before you know it, you’ve accidentally started a meme completely contrary to your political intent. Whole Presidents get elected that way. :(

Way too many people don’t think for themselves. Like P. T. Barnum said, “There’s a sucker born every minute.”
