Elizabeth: Well, everyone, this is our last class. I hope you all have a great summer. Gril: You're not coming back to teach us, are you Miss Patterson. Elizabeth: No, Ellen. I've decided to stay in the city. Boy: Will you ever come back? Elizabeth: Of course I will! Boy: That's what everyone says. Elizabeth: Jesse, I never forget my friends and I never forget a promise. Boy: I will see you again? Elizabeth: Yes, you will. And that, my friend... is a promise.
I also love this because Elizabeth truly means it and started her career because a teacher inspired her to do it. She knows just how much a student can mean to a teacher and vice versa.
